This award goes to the most outstanding work that reflects an aspect of the City of Swan


Young and Emerging Artist Award

Awarded to a young and emerging artist under the age of 25


People’s Choice Award

Awarded to the work that receives the most votes by the people and announced at the end of the exhibition



Including, but not limited to, oil or acrylic painting on board or canvas


Drawing and Works on Paper

Including, but not limited to, a work on paper such as pastel, pencil, pen & ink, watercolour, charcoal


Photography, Printmaking and Digital Media


Wulff Prize for Glass, Sculpture and 3D




Two dimensional works cannot exceed 102cm in width and 102cm in height


Three dimensional works cannot exceed 102cm in length, 102cm in width, and 102cm in height


Artists may submit one (1) artwork only.

A diptych or triptych will be deemed as one artwork and must adhere to the size restrictions and should be framed, labelled, priced and presented as one work.


Ellenbrook Arts will appoint an external panel to pre-select artworks and will notify both successful and unsuccessful artists by email

Entry fees are non-refundable.

New members are welcome, and you can become a member at the time of entering into the art award.

The entry fee must be paid after submitting the entry form.

Bank transfer is the preferred method.

Use the reference AA22 and your first name initial and your surname as the reference on the bank transaction.

For example, if your name is George Smith then your bank payment reference would be AA22 G Smith.

Alternatively, cash, cheque or EFTPOS payments can be made at The Gallery, 34 Main Street, Ellenbrook.

Entry fees must be received by Ellenbrook Arts no later than 5 pm, 21st June, 2022.

The entry fee is non-refundable.


Entry forms, payments and supporting documentation must be submitted by 5 pm, 21st June, 2022.

Incomplete entries will not be accepted.

Any entries submitted after this date will not be accepted.


All artwork must be submitted in a state that is completed, dry, and ready for installing.

We do not recommend submitting unframed work.

Due to the hanging system in the gallery all 2D artworks must have secure D-ring hanging devices attached. Two D-rings are required; one to be affixed on either side of the frame, approximately 5 cm from the top of the artwork, or in proportion to the artwork. The D-rings should be able to bear the weight of the artwork.

Photograph clip frames, a horizontal cord, or strand of wire are not acceptable. Due to the nature of our hanging system and for safety reasons, artworks without conforming hanging mechanisms will be excluded from the exhibition.

Plinths of various sizes are used for sculpture and the way that they are displayed is at the discretion of the gallery.


Please contact us if you wish to provide your own plinth or if you have unusual display requirements.


All artworks must adhere to the Terms and Conditions for entry into the exhibition.

All artworks must be delivered to the Gallery at 34 Main Street, Ellenbrook on Sunday, 21 August, between 1-5 pm.

All artworks must be submitted with the following details SECURELY attached to the back of the work:

  • Artist’s name

  • Artist's contact details

  • Artwork title and year of creation

  • Price including 20% commission and GST

  • Value, if not for sale, for insurance purposes


All successful entrants will be invited to attend the opening event with one guest.


Board members of the Ellenbrook Cultural Foundation and staff from the LWP Property Group may display an artwork in the exhibition but will not be eligible to win any award.


All unsold works must be collected from the Gallery at 34 Main Street, Ellenbrook on Wednesday, 21st September, between 1pm - 5 pm

In the case of sold works the artist will be advised privately of any sale and the administration and delivery of sold artworks to buyers carried out by Ellenbrook Arts.


Artworks can be put up for sale if wished by the artist.

The price must not exceed $7,500.

If the artwork is not for sale, a value must still be provided. The value of the artwork must not exceed $7,500 for insurance purposes.

All supplied prices must include 20% gallery commission (GST included).

Please note that transactions on sold works can take up to 30 days to finalise.


Failure to comply with any of the above may result in exclusion from the exhibition.

Ellenbrook Arts reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove any artwork from the exhibition at any time.
