Ellenbrook Arts Jack O'Lantern Contest Rules
Eligibility:
Open to all ages
All the Jack O'Lanterns must be 3D.
Jack O'Lanterns must be appropriate for a general audience.
Each participant may submit one Jack O'Lantern.
Categories:
Scariest
Funniest
Most Creative
Smallest
Virtual (for those Jack O'Lanterns posted online on your public social media profile and tagged @ellenbrookarts and using the hashtag #EApumpkincontest)
Jack O'Lanterns can be carved or made out of pumpkins, or any other materials or fruit or vegetables (lpaper, clay, oranges etc) and additional decorations and embellishments (paint, props, etc.) are allowed.

Ready-made or store-bought Jack O'Lanterns are not allowed.
Contestants are not allowed to provide a real candle light source within each Jack O'Lantern, only battery-powered light is accepted but not necessary.

Participants must use their own materials and tools in the creation of their Jack O'Lantern.
Judging Criteria:
Jack O'Lanterns will be judged on the following: Creativity, Originality, Craftsmanship, and Overall presentation.
Judges' decisions are final.
Submission:
All the Jack O'Lanterns must be submitted on 31 October, 4-5pm

Location: Brookmount Park
Late entries will not be considered for judging.
Note: If you cannot submit your Jack O'Lanterns on a day, you can bring it a day before the event to Ellenbrook Arts HQ, 34 Main St, Ellenbrook
Display:
Jack O'Lanterns will be displayed at Brookmount Park during the Ellenween event for public viewing.
The organiser reserves the right to refuse anyJack O'Lantern deemed unsafe or inappropriate for public display.
Winners will be announced at 6pm on 31 October.
Cleanup:
All Jack O'Lanterns must be removed from the patch by 7pm, 31 October.
Any Jack O'Lanterns remaining onsite after the festival closes at 7pm will be discarded.
Disqualification:
Any participant found violating these rules may be disqualified from the contest.
